On August 26, 2023, the Dr. Mack Henry Jones Department of Political Science celebrated the retirement of our colleague, teacher, and dear friend, Dr. Boone. The Celebration was included a three-part program comprised of 1) a panel of his current doctoral students who presented their papers on his scholarly and political writings; 2) a panel of Dr. Boone’s colleagues, friends, members of the Atlanta community, and former students reflecting on his 5-decade career; and 3) a luncheon celebrating his retirement and Professor Emeritus recognition.
